HEADLINE: The Navy has photographed a flying disk over Trindade (Island)
MIDDLE TEXT: The Brazilian Navy has photographed on Jan 16th
a flying saucer over Trindade Island. On a essay the Correio da Manha
printed here some of the photos taken on the occasion, from the school
ship Almirante Saldanha that was there on behalf of Hidrografia Service
of the Navy in cooperation with the works of Ano Geofisico Internacional
(IGY). These are the first photos of a flying saucer to appear under an official
channel. They where taken by photographer and cinegrafista Almiro Barauna,
attached to the Navy. In all the prints one can see the disk clearly. It was as
though landed on the peak of Trindade and took off vertically at an incredible
speed and evoluted for a few minutes. Officers and sailors saw the disk with
naked eye and realized that it had two bulges - one on the top and one on the
bottom..
